Communicare's Family Day Care Service has served the community for over thirty years. As a not-for-profit organisation, we focus our efforts on raising the quality of care by offering education, mentoring, and friendship to our care providers and the families of children in their care.

Communicare Family Day Care Educators (formerly known as Communicare Family Day Care Providers or Carers), provide a home based child care service that offers care and developmental activities for families with young children. We are committed to meeting the needs and expectations of all families by providing quality home based care where we will strive to promote care in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment which ensures that each child will be respected for their individuality and nurtured in happy surroundings where emphasis is placed on fostering children’s self esteem.

Each Educator is registered to care for children aged birth to 12 years 11 months. The Service offers a range of affordable child care options including full time, part time, evening, overnight care, occasional, weekend and emergency care, as well as before and after school care. We also offer Educators opportunities to attend our Playgroup in the Service’s Head Office.

The Service provides a support service for Educators, parents and children.  We assist parents with updated information on Educators’ vacancies.  We offer advice and support educators on the care provided to families and undertake the necessary administrative activities, which enables parents to have access to Government funding and Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) .
