Occasional Child Care Centres provide a unique service in allowing parents to leave their children for as little as one hour and to only pay for the hours used. This provides parents with the flexibility they need to attend appointments, get odd jobs done, attend a class, work, or spend time with other siblings.
The aim of this Child Care is to provide quality care to children and families using this service and to cater for the total development of the children by providing a warm supportive unrestricted environment.
Quality staff will ensure that programs are stimulating and geared to individual children’s needs and all stages of development, so that each child can grow at his/her own individual rate cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. Staff are encouraged to communicate openly and exchange information and ideas.
Melville Day Care has an open door policy that encourages parents to feel free to drop in at any time.
We at Melville Day Care believe that all children are entitled to equal opportunities regardless of their abilities, race, gender, economic status, cultural, social or religious background. We believe that each child is unique and that all children need unconditional acceptance. The staff at the centre encourage appropriate behaviour and an open display of feelings to give the child limits that create a stable and trusting environment. We believe that children need to understand their own rights and respect the rights of others.
We know that you want to find the best care for your child when you place them into child day care. We also know that the best includes having people who will really take an interest in your child, get to know them, and really help them to develop in their crucial early years.
That's why quality in child day care is so important.
At MercyCare, we believe in providing a quality service every day for every child. We are proud to have achieved the highest levels of quality in the external accreditation process, and we welcome visits from prospective families at any time.
Early childhood is a crucial time in the development of children and at our centres we work with children and their families to ensure the best possible start in life.
We provide a nurturing and natural environment where each child feels valued and safe to explore, create and communicate.
We believe a love of learning is one the greatest gifts you can give a child and our stimulating, natural learning environments are designed to encourage wellbeing, wonder and belonging.
Our fun, play-based activities give children the chance to express their ideas, imagine and experiment while learning. We also invite families to help us plan and develop a curriculum, according to their children’s unique personalities and needs.
Importantly, our centres reflect the diversity of the communities our children are a part of.
Children play a unique role in our communities, which is why we work with families and other local services to ensure our youngest citizens are given even opportunity to flourish.
